About HSN Community Outreach Grants:

HSN Mission: The Herb Society of Nashville is a non-profit, working organization dedicated to promoting the knowledge, use, and delight of herbs through educational programs, research and sharing the experience of its members with the community.

 

Outreach Grant Mission: Supporting gardens that enhance opportunity, awareness, and sense of community by providing nutrition, wellness and education.

 

Applicants: Grant applicants may include schools, communities, care facilities, nonprofit and any other entity that supports the Middle Tennessee area. Previous grant recipients may apply each year if the grantee has submitted a progress report. A grantee that has not completed a progress report will not be eligible for a grant award for a period of three (3) years.
Applicants of garden projects administered by an HSN member may not be considered.

 

Deadline & Dates: Application proposals must be received on or before 12 pm (noon) January 12, 2026. The application must be submitted electronically. To access the form, please click here .

 

• Upon receipt of the application, you will receive a confirmation email.
• Announcement of grant recipient(s) will be made by February 15, 2026.
• Grantees must agree to submit a final report to the grant committee by October 30, 2026 that includes details of how the project was started and developed, people involved, impact to date, before and after photos of project space, people, etc. and how the money was used. 
• Chosen applicants agree to allow HSN to publicize their project details on our website and in any appropriate media.

 

 The maximum amount available for the 2026 grant
is $10,000. The committee has discretion to divide the funds and award several projects.
